The major types of imperfections at the laminate scale are unwetted fibres (matrix poor regions), matrix rich layers, defects along interfaces between different plies and ply wrinkles. The effect of unwetted fibres on fatigue behaviour will be studied. Compression failure and delamination crack growth will be studied experimentally and modelled.
